I also looked at Hummingbird which was twice the price when I bought TweetElitePro.
TweetElitePro does everything Hummingbird does plus lots more time saving tasks.
As you can see I went from 7000 followers at the start of July to 12757 by th 29th
Statring from under 200 followers in May as of today I have 13003 using TweetElitePro

Twitter is part of the mix. You should build a following on Twitter. It is very important.
I have used MyTweetElite to build a following of almost 26000 (by early December 2009) and more followers follow me every day.

Once you know how to do it all manually, you might want to get some assistance and that is where the MyTweetElite software comes in and does it all for you automatically!
